Our goal at Rocco DeSantis Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is to provide a comprehensive dental service experience to our patients here in Kilgore, Texas. Our state-of-the-art equipment and modern approach facilitates a care experience that is second to none. Our services include:

Family Dentistry

We here at Rocco Desantis Family & Cosmetic Dentistry recognize each member of your family has varying dental needs. We offer comprehensive oral care for young children with primary teeth, as well as adolescents and adults with permanent teeth.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Everyone deserves a beautiful smile, and cosmetic dentistry makes a new smile more accessible to the average person. From veneers and teeth whitening to orthodontic treatments and natural-looking restorations, we can transform the appearance of your smile and help you achieve your cosmetic goals.

Orthodontics

Many people have misaligned teeth. We use specially made orthodontic appliances to gently straighten teeth and improve an uneven bite. Patients who undergo orthodontic treatment will enjoy a more beautiful smile, as well as reduced risk of gum disease, decay and symptoms of TMJ.

Dental Crowns and Veneers

Crowns and veneers are cosmetic restorations used to make-over a patient’s smile. A crown encases the entire tooth and is often preferred for badly decayed or broken teeth, whereas veneers are thin shells adhered to the front surface of the teeth only, transforming the size, shape and color of a patient’s smile with minimal effect on the natural teeth.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a permanent dental prosthetic used to replace one or more missing teeth. The prosthetic is attached to two crowns, which are bonded to two abutment teeth on either side of the prosthetic teeth. These abutment teeth anchor the prosthetic in place, ‘bridging the gap’ where there were previously no teeth.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canals are procedures used to treat infected nerve roots, potentially saving a tooth from requiring extraction. The infected nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth sealed to prevent future infection or decay.

Straight Wire and Functional Orthodontics

Functional orthodontics is two-phase treatment that addresses airway obstructions and jaw discrepancies in childhood before the permanent molars begin to erupt. A second treatment phase occurs in early adolescence, when straight wire braces are used to align newly erupted permanent teeth.

Extractions

A tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that is damaged, decayed or affected by gum disease. When a tooth is too badly damaged to be repaired, the dentist will gently remove the tooth and its root from the socket and help the patient explore prosthetic replacement options.

Implant Restorations

A dental implant is a tiny rod embedded into the bone beneath the gums, where it serves as an artificial tooth root. As the implant fuses with the surrounding bone, it can support a dental prosthetic, such as a crown or denture, permanently anchoring it in place.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Tooth colored fillings provide a discreet and inconspicuous alternative to amalgam and gold fillings. These fillings are made of a strong and durable composite material that is capable of repairing cracks and cavities while mimicking the appearance of a natural tooth.

Teeth Cleaning and Preventative Treatments

Professional cleanings and preventative treatments promote and protect healthy smiles in patients of all ages. A cleaning removes built-up plaque that could otherwise lead to decay or gum disease. Additional preventative treatments, such as fluoride treatments and dental sealants, may also be helpful for avoiding cavities and other dental health problems.

Dentures and Partial Dentures

Complete and partial dentures are removable prosthetics used to replace some or all of a person’s teeth. The artificial teeth are attached to a gum-colored base, which may also be held in place by a metal framework.
